Breathitt County's jailed school superintendent has resigned, according to a report in the Lexington Herald-Leader.
      
Arch Turner is in jail, accused of violating the terms of his bond in a federal vote-buying case.
      
Turner is charged with conspiring to buy votes in the May 2010 primary.
       
The Breathitt County School Board will select a new superintendent.
