Boyle County: Bomb Threat Leads To Arrest

Police arrested Monty Bryant Jr. for terroristic threatening and are searching for another they believe to be involved.
Boyle County Police arrested a man accused of calling in a bomb threat Tuesday morning.
Police say that someone called 911 claiming that they placed a bomb in the Boyle County Courthouse that would detonate around 10 a.m.
The building was evacuated as crews secured the building.
No explosive device was found.

Police were able to track the 911 call to 46-year-old Monty Bryant Jr.
Bryant was sitting on a bench at the Subway across the street from the courthouse when they arrested him.
He is charged with terroristic threatening.

Boyle County Sheriff Marty Elliot tells us that they have another person of interest in the case that they are trying to gather more information on.

The courthouse reopened at 1 p.m.
Sheriff Elliot says it cost roughly $1500 per hour and $5500 per hour once the fire department arrived.
