Just hours after a boil water advisory had been lifted for the city of Hustonville in Lincoln County on Friday, May 16th, a new advisory was issued.

City officials said due to a water main break in front of City Hall, water customers within the city limits of Hustonville and east, west and south of the city, should boil all water to be used for cooking and drinking for at least three minutes until further notice.

The advisory does not affect customers in Huston Point, according to city officials.

Hustonville Water Works customers had been under a boil water advisory all week because of water tank maintenance.  That advisory was lifted Friday at 3:00 p.m.

The new advisory issued Friday evening at 9:30 p.m., is in effect until further notice.
