All of Owsley County is under a boil water advisory until further notice.
Water officials said the advisory is due to the recent heavy rainfall in the area and the muddy conditions in the river.
Water officials said the possibility of High Turbidity Concentrations in the system warrant additional testing of the system.
People should boil their water for at least three minutes before using for cooking or drinking.
