Officials exhumed a body in a Berea cemetery Tuesday in connection to a death investigation from the 1970s.

New evidence has led investigators to exhume the body and bring it to Frankfort for an autopsy.

Officials started at around 11 a.m at Pilot Knob Cemetery in Berea, and finished up at around 1:30 p.m. The death was ruled natural causes back in the 1970s, but was always considered suspicious.

Investigators have not released what the new evidence is in the case.
