The Bluegrass Military Affairs Coalition honored every branch of the military at Ashland Baptist Church today.

ABC 36's own Doug High, who serves in the Navy Reserve, emceed the event.

Organizers say celebrating Armed Forces Week is a big deal to Kentuckians because they live in one of the most patriotic states in the nation.

Armed Forces Day started in 1949 as a way to honor young men and women are recognized for their efforts.
