Bloody Dog May Be Crucial To Solving A Home Theft

Lexington Police are trying to determine whose blood was left on a small dog in an overnight break in.
Jewelry, medicine and keys to an apartment on Catalpa Road were stolen, but according to police, the family's dog may have taken a bite out of crime.

Police said they think the dog attacked the intruder and are trying to determine whose blood was left.

Officers told us last week an SUV was broken parked in the driveway was also broken into.  They keys were stolen in that instance as well. 

Investigators said they are trying to figure out if the two incidents are related.

This theft happened around 12:50 a.m.
