Bill Would Let Public See Redistricting Plans First

A bill, just filed in Frankfort, would require any redistricting plan to be released to the public and the media, first. A vote couldn't take place for five days after that.

One sponsor said this year's fiasco proves that change is needed. House Republicans sued over a state redistricting plan, because they said it split counties and moved boundaries unnecessarily. A judge threw it out, and the state supreme court backed that decision.
