Picnickers in Berea celebrated a victory for the LGBT community.

The Berea Human Right Commission recently agreed to recommend a law to the city council.

It would make it illegal for employers or landlords to discriminate against LGBT people.

A group called Bereans for Fairness has been advocating for a local fairness ordinance for the past two years.

A formal presentation of the proposed law to the city council is expected in the next few months.
