Democratic incumbent Congressman Ben Chandler of Versailles raised nearly $400,000 in the second quarter for his re-election campaign, according to a news released from Chandler's campaign.

The release said the $397,614 is the most ever raised in a second quarter for Chandler and leaves his campaign's cash-on-hand flush at $1,345,663.

The release said during the second quarter, 543 individual donors and 619 donors overall made a contribution to Chandler's campaign.

Chandler's chief opponent in the November General Election will be Republican challenger Andy Barr, who Chandler narrowly defeated in the last election.
