Mild air will arrive as a warm front slides northeast across the Ohio Valley today.  Highs will peak near 50 degrees, but clouds will thicken as rain approaches from the west.  Rain will overspread the area late this evening and overnight from west to east, and an isolated thunderstorm or two may be embedded within the rain overnight.  Overnight lows will remain in the middle 40s thanks to a breeze from the south.  Thursday will begin mild and wet, but drier air will bring an end to the steady rain around midday.  High pressure will provide seasonable and brighter weather on Friday.  A storm system passing to our south this weekend may produce a light wintry mix on Saturday evening, especially in southern Kentucky, and this could transition to some light snow on Sunday, again primarily in southern Kentucky.  After a dry Monday morning, the next storm system will approach from the west late on Monday, producing a few rain showers on Monday evening or night.  Rain chances, along with the possibility of some light snow in some areas, will increase on Tuesday of next week as low pressure passes nearby.
