Pioneers went toe to toe with British soldiers and Native Americans in Nicholas County Sunday.

Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park recognized the two-hundred thirty-first anniversary of that battle with a reenactment.

Visitors also took part in trail walks, stage shows, competitions, and other demonstrations.

The lives of 70 settlers were lost in the fight back in 1782, including Daniel Boone's youngest son, Israel.
