Bass Webb Case Set to be Moved

Webb is accused of raping and killing ex-girlfriend, Bryia Runiewicz, inside her home in 2009.
Bass Webb appeared in court today, shackled but no face mask this time since he wore one after spitting on a judge.
Webb is accused of raping and killing ex-girlfriend, Bryia Runiewicz, inside her home in 2009. The judge ruled Webb's murder case will be moved out of harrison county. The trial was suspended because a jury could not be seated in Harrison County.

The Defense for Bass Webb and the Commonwealth have several weeks to argue where they think the case should be moved to. Tuesday in court the defense requested the death penalty be taken off the table.

"(Webb) took a life he ought to give a life that's the way I look at it, he took an innocent girl and took her life, so I think they ought to bring the death penalty back and give it to him," said Byria's stepfather, Leonard Mitchell.

Webb is currently serving time in jail, charged with two counts of attempted murder after police say he drove to the Bourbon County Jail and tried to run over two jail employees the same day as Runiewicz's body was found.
