Republican Andy Barr filed his candidacy papers for the GOP nomination for Kentucky's 6th District Congressional seat Friday morning.

Barr is hoping for a rematch with Democrat Congressman Ben Chandler this fall.  During the last election, Barr came within a few votes of ousting Chandler.  Another candidate, Republican Charles Kenimer has also filed for the Republican nomination.  The winner in the primary will fact the Democrat nominee in November.  Chandler is the only Democrat to file to this point.
