Bardstown Police To Announce New K-9 Officers And Dogs

The Bardstown Police Department is scheduled to announce its new K-9 officers and dogs on Tuesday.

Officer Jason Ellis' K-9 partner retired following the shooting death of Ellis in the line of duty.

Investigators said Officer Ellis was ambushed on the Bluegrass Parkway in May. 

The murder remains unsolved.

Officer Ellis' K-9 partner lives with the Ellis family.
