Back-To-Back Crashes Keep Crews Busy

Lexington Police were kept busy late Sunday and early Monday answering back-to-back calls on wrecks around town.

Lexington Police were kept busy late Sunday and early Monday answering back-to-back calls on wrecks around town.

The first happened on Harrodsburg Road.

A car and truck crashed at the intersection of Harrodsburg and Man O’ War.

We’re told a woman from inside the car was taken to the hospital. No word on her condition.

The man driving the truck wasn’t hurt.

The second crash happened on New Circle Road just past Leestown Road.

Police said a man lost control of his SUV and flipped.

A female passenger was thrown from the vehicle.

She was taken to UK hospital with critical injuries.

The driver was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police said neither were wearing seatbelts and they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

A third crash happened on Man O’ War near Crosby Drive.

Two cars were parked on the side of Man O’ War. Police said one of those cars had stalled.

Police said a man crashed into the cars.

He was arrested for DUI.

No one was hurt.

A fourth crash happened on New Circle Road near Alumni Drive.

Police said a car left the road and crashed into a ditch.

One man inside that car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police said two other men inside the car were drunk. They were arrested at the scene.
