The basketball Cats improved to 15-6, 6-2 in Southeastern Conference play on Saturday night with a 72-68 overtime win over Texas A&M in College Station.

Sure Kentucky turned the ball over 18 times.  Sure the Cats had just 3 steals.  And sure they let Elston Turner hit the jumper to send it to OT, but a win is a win.

And right now. Coach Cal is just trying to get this young team to grow up.  To stop making the same mistakes.  And in general, play basketball like they need to play the game of life.

But being a young, inexperienced team that's never faced adversity before now presents challenges.

Kentucky has plenty to learn.  What's positive for Solid Blue fans right now is that the Cats are winning games in conference play.

And as long as they can keep escaping with "W's," they'll stay in the hunt to keep playing come March.

When it really matters how far you've progressed over the course of a year.

So Cal's not upset or mad with his bunch, but that's not to say he's excited with where they're at.

Check out the video to hear from Cal on what he likes about his team right.
