She's not even a candidate but Ashley Judd is already the target of a political attack ad.
Now she has responded to it.
Judd has been mentioned as an opponent for Senator Mitch McConnell next year.
In an ad appearing on YouTube, she is criticized as a Hollywood liberal, a supporter of President Obama, and a Tennesseean.
The ad is from "American Crossroads," a group co-founded by Republican consultant Karl Rove.
Judd's people have released a statement.
It says: "Ashley thanks Senator McConnell, Karl Rove, and their negative allies for all the attention as she considers her future political plans."
It also says she still hasn't made up her mind about the race.
