Lexington Police said a man was shot in the 400 block of Ash Street early Wednesday morning, but some neighbors on the street said they expected it.
One neighbor said it's a drug house and that people are always coming in and out at all hours.
"I've called police. At one point they closed it down, but they moved right back into the same house," said Felicia Horton, a neighbor who lives down the street.
According to officers, the man opened the door to someone he knew as an acquaintance. That man came inside and at some point shot the 62 year old man living there.
Officers said the victim ran to neighbors who called police.
There have been at least two other shootings in the 400 block of Ash Street in 2014. On February 10 a woman was shot in the head in her home on the street.
On April 14 a teenager was shot in the elbow.
For Horton, it has all been too much.
"I want somebody to come down here and do something about it. Because it's not getting any better," said Horton.
According to police, Wednesday's victim was shot in the back and taken to University of Kentucky hospital. Officers said they did not believe his injuries were life-threatening.
