Arson Investigators Looking into Strip Mall Fire

After the Lexington Fire Department finally got its chance to investigate a New Circle Road strip mall that burned last month, an inspection for arson began Friday.
After the Lexington Fire Department finally got its chance to investigate a New Circle Road strip mall that burned last month, an inspection for arson began Friday.

Insurance companies were also involved in the investigation.

Demolition crews were on-hand to cleanup the debris, as well as help look for the fire's cause.

Firefighters said over half of the strip mall will have to be demolished.

Shops on the other side of the strip mall that weren't hurt by the fire are still open.

Fire crews said the cost of the damage could be over $1 million.
