Lexington Police have arrested one man, but report they are searching for another following a pursuit of a stolen car that led to a foot chase.

According to police, a car with South Carolina tags was stolen from the Duncan Park area at around 3 Thursday morning.

They said they spotted the vehicle at around 1:45pm and tried to pull it over, but it wouldn't stop.

Officers said the car came to a dead end on Rand Avenue and two men jumped out, running in opposite directions.

According to police, the car's passenger was arrested after a 45-minute foot pursuit as the man was trying to jump a fence at Third Street and Broadway.

Officials said the suspect was taken to a nearby hospital for a hand injury he received while jumping the fence, but will be taken into custody after his release.

Police are still looking for the car's driver.
