Lexington police arrested a suspect Monday, one day after a victim was shot and hit by a car.

Police now charge 26-year-old Darius Brown with assault and tampering with physical evidence. According to police, Brown, another man, and a woman argued Sunday night on Winter Garden. Police say the men ended up outside. Police accuse Brown of hitting the man with a car, and stabbing him more than once.

The victim, at last check, was in serious condition.
