A pit bull has attacked an animal control officer in Lexington.
A pit bull has attacked an animal control officer in Lexington.

The animal control chief says a dog bit Sergeant Ashley Browning on Costigan Drive around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Animal control now has that dog. The owner has been charged with harboring a vicious dog. ABC 36 News is told that other charges are possible.

Sergeant Browning went to UK Chandler Hospital, but was released.
