Angel Tree Campaign Began Friday

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Campaign started on Friday.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree Campaign started on Friday.

They say the purpose of the program is to make a Christmas wish come true for thousands of local deserving children.

According to Major Debra Ashcraft, “The Salvation Army begins this year’s campaign with over five thousand children. That number is expected to increase as applications are still being processed.”

The public is being asked to visit a Salvation Army Angel Tree display, select a child’s angel card, purchase a gift(s) using the information on the card, and return the gift(s) and card by December 8th at one of the locations listed on the back of the angel card.

•Glenn Nissan (Lexington)
•Hyundai of Nicholasville
•Walmart (Georgetown & Nicholasville)
•Jessamine County Courthouse
•Oak Factory (Nicholasville)
