Republican Andy Barr wants a rematch with Democratic U.S. Rep Ben Chandler. Barr filed for congress late Friday morning.

Election night 2010 Barr lost to Chandler by 647 votes in 2010, the third closest race for congress that year. Barr's campaign message has not changed. With new congressional boundaries still undecided the shape of the sixth is the "x-factor." Chandler told ABC 36 News recently that he'll adjust to whatever emerges. If Barr is the Republican nominee he says having Obama on the ballot in November will help him. The sequel, may be coming to your county, soon.

In addition to Barr and Chandler, two other people have filed for congress in the sixth district. Curtis Kenimer from Paris filed as a republican. Lexington resident Randolph Vance filed as a write in candidate. Also today, the general assembly agreed to extend the filing deadline for congress a week to February seventh because of its inability to agree on new boundaries for the state's six house districts.
