The American Diabetes Association hosted a family day in Lexington to connect families who deal with children diabetes.

The Clarion Hotel on Newtown Pike sponsored the 2nd annual event.

Organizers said the goal of Sunday’s event was to give Kentuckians who face the same situation an opportunity to talk together.

At the event, children were able to swim, play basketball, shuffleboard, video games and more.

Family Link hosts events like this one throughout the year.
