Investigators said the ambulance was taking a woman with stomach pains from a home on Caudill Road to the hospital in Winchester when the driver slid into a ditch trying to avoid another vehicle.

State Police said no one in the ambulance was hurt.

Investigators said the ambulance was pulled out of the ditch and suffered no damage.

State Police said the patient was taken on to the hospital in another ambulance.
