A major equestrian event kicked off Wednesday morning at the Alltech Arena in Lexington.
This year marks the 128th edition for the National Horse Show.

It was an easy sell to bring the nation's oldest and most prestigious indoor horse show to Kentucky.

"If you're a sports fan in general, it's always exciting to see the absolute best in anything and here at the Alltech National Horse Show, you will see the best horses and riders you can find anywhere," says Marty Bauman, press chief with the Alltech National Horse Show.
The nation's top hunters, jumpers and junior riders are competing in this four-day event that has been hosted for decades in New York City at the historic, Madison Square Garden.

"Last year's Alltech World Equestrian Games really proved to the world that Lexington is the horse capital of the world and made the Kentucky Horse Park the center for equestrian sports and the hunter jumper horse show world is so thrilled to bring this national championship horse show to the horse park," adds Bauman

If you are interested in coming out to the event, it only will cost you $10, if you come out during the day time and then $20 if you come at night.

The Alltech National Horse Show runs through this Sunday
