Update: All Lanes of I-75 Back Open After Semi-Truck Fire

The Madison County Sheriff's Department says the driver of the vehicle was taken to UK Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Madison County Sheriff's Department says all three lanes of southbound I-75 are back open after a semi-truck caught fire late Friday afternoon.

Investigators say the accident happened at about 4:30pm Friday.

The cab of the truck was completely burned down.

Sheriff's Deputies tell ABC 36 that the driver, a Richmond man, was taken to UK Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say a white car  cut-off the truck forcing him to swerve off the road into a group of trees where the cab caught fire.

Crews spent most of the evening cutting down and removing surrounding trees to get to the truck in order to remove it.

Deputies say the truck was only carrying empty steel racks.
