Police believe alcohol was a factor in a crash in Madison County early Tuesday morning.

Police said a man lost control of his car, went over the center line and slammed into a utility pole.

The accident happened after 1:30 near the Blue Grass Army Depot on Battlefield Memorial Highway.

We are told the driver was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. No power was lost but Kentucky Utilities was called to the scene to repair the pole.
