Lexington police found a stolen car and an escapee early Monday morning.

Police said they were searching for a stolen Scion, when they spotted it at a Shell station on West New Circle Road and Broadway.

They said two men came out of the store. One walked toward the car and was arrested while the other ran.

Police quickly caught up to the second suspect and arrested him, too.

He is identified as Antonio Howard, 24, an escapee from the Adair County Jail.

Howard walked away from the jail back in August.

He is currently in the Fayette County Detention Center charged with escape and fleeing and evading.
