Accused Robber Turns Himself In To Authorities

Investigators said accused robber, Christopher Disney, 33, of Gray, turned himself in to authorities at the Knox County Jail.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said Christopher Disney, 33, of Gray, turned himself in to a Knox County Sheriff's Deputy at the Knox County Jail.

Investigators said Disney is accused of robbing a clerk at gunpoint at the A&B Quick Stop north of London on December 19, 2012.

Investigators said a surveillance picture of the robbery that was made public resulted in an anonymous tip that led authorities to a location off Sam Parker Road in Knox County.

Investigators said Disney was then identified as the suspect and authorities said they recovered the gun believed to have been used in the robbery.

Authorities said Disney had been on the run until turning himself in.

Investigators said Disney is charged with Robbery 1st Degree, but that other charges may be pending.

He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
