Lexington fire crews said a fuel spill caused by a collision between a car and pickup truck on Nicholasville Road led to the closure of inbound lanes in the Wilhite Drive area.

They said the accident happened at the intersection around 1:45 Friday afternoon and the truck leaked gasoline all over the roadway.

The inbound lanes were shut down for about an hour while firefighters worked the scene.

They said traffic is now running normally again.
