ABC 36's Tom Kenny Makes Lexington Television History

ABC 36's Tom Kenny made Lexington television history over the weekend. He's is the area's first-ever Silver Circle Honoree. It's a tribute to his more than 25 years in broadcasting, and his standard of excellence in journalism and community service.
It was quite a weekend for our friend and colleague Tom Kenny.

He's Lexington television's first-ever Silver Circle Honoree.

Tom was recognized in Cincinnati Saturday night during the Regional Emmy Awards.

It's one of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' highest honors.

It recognizes his more than 25 years in broadcasting, and his standard of excellence in journalism and community service.

Our ABC 36 News team was there as Tom accepted the award.

Tom has also won several Emmy awards over the years.

He's also the only Lexington broadcast journalist ever to receive the prestigious National Edward R. Murrow award.
