5th Annual 'Victory 5K' Run To Benefit Veterans On Saturday

The Lexington VA Medical Center's annual race at the Leestown Road facility raises money to buy personal care items for Veterans who are being cared for at the VA Medical Center. The race is Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
It's not too late to get involved in the Lexington VA Medical Center's 5th Annual 'Victory 5K' race on the grounds of the Leestown Road facility.

The race is Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

Race packets can be picked up between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Pre-Registration is $20.  Early registrants are guaranteed a dri-fit event shirt.

Race Day registration is $25.

The money raised goes toward the purchase of personal care items provided to Veterans who are receiving care at the Lexington VA Medical Center.

The race will be run through the beautiful grounds at the VA Medical Center on Leestown Road.

There are categories and awards.

Age groups are:
  • Under 14
  • 15-20
  • 21-30
  • 31-40
  • 41-50
  • 51-60
  • 60+
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners.

Also, the top 2 males in each age group and the top two females in each age group.

The 'Victory 5K' is dedicated to the men and women who have worn our nation's military uniforms.
