Beautiful music, in a beautiful setting on a beautiful day.

That sums up the 3rd Annual Lexington Jazz Festival held at picturesque Talon Winery and Vineyards in Fayette County on Sunday.

There were two stages featuring top-notch local and regional musicians.

"We try to partner with the community and to bring jazz awareness to the folks because we need more jazz in Lexington," said Teresa Tope, Director of Fine Arts, Bluegrass Community and Technical College System.

Groups scheduled to perform included Baja Yetis, Jamey Aebersold Quartet, The Jazz Collective with vocalist Gail Wynters, Ben Lacy & Bob Bryant Duo, and O-Zone.

The food was provided by Jackson's Restaurant of Richmond.

The festival was hosted by Bluegrass Community and Technical College, The Jazz Arts Foundation, Inc., and Talon Winery and Vineyards.

The event was sponsored by Stoll Keenon and Ogden PLLC.
