$70 million is being spent to grow three Sazerac distilleries, creating an additional 110 jobs.

On Thursday, Governor Steve Beshear helped break ground on Buffalo Trace Distillery's expansion in Frankfort.

The Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown and the Glenmore Distillery in Owensboro are also slated for expansion.

Sazerac has around 1,300 workers around the state and is the largest bottler of distilled spirits in Kentucky.

The company is making the large investment to prepare for growth and the increasing demand for bourbon.
