The three candidates vying for the position of Lexington Mayor met Thursday morning to debate the best way to handle concerns for the city.
The three candidates vying for the position of Lexington Mayor met Thursday morning at UK's campus to debate the best way to handle concerns for the city.

UK administrator and former city police chief Anthany Beatty and Bluegrass Community and Technical College associate English professor Danny Mayer joined current Mayor Jim Gray for the one-hour discussion.

Topics included the renovation of Rupp Arena and maintaining public safety.

The primary election on May 20 will decide which two candidates will see their names on the general election ballot in November.
