A collision Saturday involving multiple cars at the intersection of Harrodsburg Road and Old Higbee Mill Road has left two elderly people dead, according to the Fayette County Coroner.

78-year-old Mary Steinhauler and 91-year-old Robert Singer were both taken to UK Hospital to be treated for blunt force trauma.

However, the coroner said Steinhauer was pronounced dead shortly after she was brought to the hospital.

Singer also died after being taken to UK, according to the coroner.
