A new survey shows more than 25% of Kentucky families with kids struggle to afford enough food.
A new Gallup survey shows 26% of Kentucky families with kids could not afford enough food at some point in the last 5 years.

This ranks Kentucky 16th worst in the nation.

Families who once had to choose between going hungry or paying their electric bill were getting help from a food pantry at Broadway Christian Church Wednesday night.

The food comes from a large distribution network across central and eastern Kentucky run by God's Pantry Food Bank.

The food bank's numbers show the hunger problem continues to grow.

In Lexington, they used to help feed 900 families a month, but have now been serving 1,700 families a month.
