As time quickly robs us of our World War II veterans, taking time to hear a soldier’s story is a very good idea. Taking time while there’s still time left. That’s what we do this week on Kentucky’s Backroads. Paul Williamson was born on what was then Armistice Day, November 11, 1924. He was drafted into the Army and was a Corporal. He fought in four battles, including the Battle of the Bulge. “That was our big one,” Williamson said during a recent interview at his Lexington home.
"We thought killed or captured," he said of the battle. “You didn't know which, but you was thinking along those lines. It wasn't a matter of getting out. You was either going to be killed or captured."
