Among the childhood memories of many are the stuff animals they had.  This week, on Kentucky’s Backroads, we meet a grandmother, and her grandson, who have crafted a unique connection through the hand-made gifts they create, together.

Judy Geagley creates tie bunnies from the drawings of her nine year old grandson, Michael.  The soft animals are made from old ties.

Judy gained her reputation as a crafts person with her unique teddy bear, made out of recycle materials, when they were spotted at the New York International Gift Show in 1997.

"I have Michael draw things because he does love to draw and with his drawing I turn them into creations and he says, 'mama makes them come to life.'"

Click on the video to see more about a grandmother stirring a grandson’s imagination, all the while teaching life’s lessons.
