For the first time since 1990, the Tates Creek baseball team locked up a spot at the state tournament.

The Commodores took care of Scott County 9-2 Wednesday night in Richmond in order to punch the ticket to Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Now it's on to state starting Monday night at 8:30 versus the 8th region champs.

And the Dores feel focused and ready to make a run at the state crown.
