Chuck Smith is the new head football coach at Madison Central High School.

The former football Wildcat turned Boyle County into a perennial power in Danville.

Smith took the Rebels to five consecutive state title victories (1999-2003) at two different KHSAA classification levels (AA in '99 & '00, AAA in '01-'03), compiled a 142-33 record over 13 seasons, and left the Rebs with the longest public school consecutive streak of wins in state history at 47 in a row.

While at UK as an assistant from 2004-'12, Smith coached linebackers and received the title of recruiting coordinator in '09.  The likes of Wesley Woodyard, Danny Trevathan, Braxton Kelley and Micah Johnson all played for Smith at UK.

Check out the video to hear from Smith on re-joining the level he loves and belongs at.
