'Healthy Kids' Wanted at Local YMCA's

     Studies say many children do not get the daily recommended hours of physical activity, reading, and daily amounts of healthy foods.

     So on Sunday the YMCA held a "healthy kids" day  to try to kick-start healthier behaviors in children.

     Central Kentucky Y's joined 19 hundred other Y's across the country in the initiative.

     YMCA's Family Health Snapshot says only 19% of children get 60 minutes of physical activity.

     Seventeen percent read books for fun and 12% eat at least eight fruits and vegetables daily.
