WEEKEND ANCHOR/WEEKDAY REPORTER: WTVQ-TV (ABC), Lexington, Ky is looking for an energetic, dynamic anchor/reporter. The selected candidate must have strong on-air presence, writing skills, and the ability to connect with viewers from the anchor desk and in community involvement settings. Additionally, outstanding copy editing skills, an energetic delivery and excellent ad-lib abilities during breaking news coverage are all essential. This newsroom leader must understand the importance of enterprise reporting, developing sources and research. Minimum requirements include four years experience as an anchor and reporter as well as grasping the team approach. EOE M/F/D/V pre-employment background check required. REPORTER/VIDEOGRAPHER: WTVQ-TV seeks candidates with experience reporting and shooting news for broadcast. The Reporter/Videographer is responsible for newsgathering, interviewing, writing and on-air performance as well as the visual and audio aspects of materials shot and edited for airing in News programming under the supervision of the News Director and Chief Videographer. 2-3 years experience in Television reporting and videography or equivalent technical training required. This is a one man band position. Must have demonstrable visual sense, including good color vision and depth perception, and mechanical abilities associated with use of video camera and recorder. Must be able to operate a satellite truck. Must also be able to carry heavy equipment (40 lbs. or more), stand for long periods of time, and use electronic equipment. Must be able to perform editing functions using equipment. Must be able to work well with others under pressure and meet daily deadlines. Must be highly motivated, aggressive, self starters.
