This is the 14th year the 8th graders at Simons Middle School in Flemingsburg hosted their Civil War Day.  The elementary schools throughout the district always comes to visit and learn.  The reenactment is also open to family, friends, and the community.

Several different areas are set up in the front lawn to teach the community about camp life, life as a doctor and nurse, being a prisoner, etc.

The battle scenes are an all time favorite to watch and participate in.  A dramatic portrayal on President Lincoln's assassination is a recent addition to Civil War Day.
