What's Up With That?!?
3-Point percentages for the Cats:
Doron Lamb - 16 of 32 = 50%
Terrence Jones - 8 of 16 = 50%
Marquis Teague - 7 of 19 = 36.8%
MKG - 5 of 14 = 35.7%
Kyle Wiltjer - 4 of 15 = 26.7%
Darius Miller - 6 of 23 = 26%
Eloy Vargas - 0 of 1 = 0%
Anthony Davis - 0 of 3 = 0%
Who would've thought the top of this list would have Doron Lamb and Terrence Jones...followed by Teague and MKG?!? Kyle Wiltjer (the sharp-shooter recruit) is just 4 of 15! Miller, the senior, just 26% from deep.
Jones was a mere 26 of 79 (32.9%) from 3 last year.
Lamb...right on track...last year made 68 of 140 attempts (48.6%)
Miller has shot better over the years...33.3%...33.6%...and then 44.3% last year on 58 of 131 from deep. He's down right now from that by 18%.
Of course the freshmen have no prior college stats or experience...so we won't get into that.
But MKG that high with what everyone thinks is an awkward shot and Teague who the fans gasp at when he pulls up...what's up with that?!?
Looks like the crowd needs to look at the stats and start cheering the MKG and Teague deep balls and gasping when Wiltjer pulls up instead of acting surprised when it clanks out.
Just something to chew on over the weekend!
