WEEKEND SPORTS ANCHOR/WEEKDAY SPORTS REPORTER: WTVQ, ABC 36 in Lexington, Kentucky (home of the University of Kentucky Wildcats) is in search for a full-time weekend sports anchor / weekday sports reporter. Candidate must be able to produce and anchor their own weekend sportscast, as well as shoot, edit, write, and report sports stories during the week. Candidate should be a good story teller that can cover all aspects of sports delivering content to multiple platforms under deadline. Prior experience with Panasonic P2 cameras, JVC HM600E cameras, ENPS, NewsEdit, and Edius is a bonus. WEEKEND WEATHER ANCHOR / WEEKDAY MULTI-MEDIA-JOURNALIST: WTVQ-TV seeks candidates with experience delivering accurate weather forecasts as well as reporting and shooting news for broadcast and internet. Candidate will report news as an MMJ, 3-days per week and anchor weathercasts on weekends. Applicant must have a minimum of 1-year of weather anchoring experience and be familiar with Weather Central forecasting equipment. As a Multi-Media Journalist you will be responsible for newsgathering, interviewing, writing, and on-air performance. This is a one man band position. Candidate must have the technical and mechanical abilities associated with use of digital video camera / recorders, non-linear editors, and Dejero live units. You must be able to work well with others under pressure and meet daily deadlines. We are searching for a candidate that is highly motivated, aggressive, and a self-starter.
