LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Businesses along Limestone Avenue are expecting a big boost in business Friday night because the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team is playing in the Sweet 16.

“I think it’s going to be on another level of a Friday,” said Kristina Strum, general manager of Two Keys Tavern.

“It’s huge for business obviously,” said Justin Stephen, regional manager for Tin Roof.  “I think any business owner would know, especially on this block being close to campus, it could make your year.”

Bars and restaurants spent the day Friday getting ready for the rush before game time.

Businesses are hoping for a win so their profits can continue.

“We know its coming so everyone kinda knows how its going to work,” said Carmen Pleasants who works at Tin Roof.  “You just have to prepare yourself.”
